Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions apply to all quotations, orders, supply of materials and flooring installation work carried out by A.G. Carpet & Flooring Ltd.

By accepting a quotation, placing an order or instructing us to proceed with work, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.

Quotations

All quotations are valid for 30 days unless otherwise stated.

Quotations are based on information available at the time of pricing and may be subject to revision if site conditions, specifications or customer requirements change.

Any additional work requested after acceptance may be charged separately.

Acceptance of Quotations

Acceptance of a quotation may be confirmed by:

  • Written acceptance

  • Email confirmation

  • Payment of a deposit

  • Instruction to proceed with works

Acceptance confirms agreement with these Terms & Conditions.

Deposits

A deposit may be required before materials are ordered or work is scheduled.

Deposit requirements will be stated on the quotation where applicable.

Materials may not be ordered until the required deposit has been received.

Flooring Products

All flooring products are subject to availability.

Manufacturers may change products, specifications or colours without notice.

Natural variations in colour, shade, texture and pattern are normal and do not constitute a defect.

Samples should be used as a guide only.

Site Surveys

Site surveys are intended to assess flooring requirements and provide accurate quotations.

Hidden defects, moisture issues, structural movement or unforeseen site conditions may not become apparent until work commences.

Additional preparation work may be required and may incur additional costs.

Installation Dates

Installation dates are estimated and cannot be guaranteed.

Delays caused by:

  • Material shortages

  • Manufacturer delays

  • Weather conditions

  • Site access issues

  • Unforeseen circumstances

may result in revised installation schedules.

We will endeavour to keep customers informed of any changes.

Access Requirements

Customers must provide safe and reasonable access to the property or work area.

Adequate lighting, power supplies and access routes must be available during installation.

Delays caused by restricted access may result in additional charges.

Furniture & Personal Belongings

Unless otherwise agreed, customers are responsible for removing:

  • Furniture

  • Personal belongings

  • Fragile items

  • Valuable items

before work begins.

A.G. Carpet & Flooring Ltd accepts no responsibility for items left within working areas.

Existing Flooring Removal

Where flooring removal has been included within the quotation, reasonable care will be taken during removal.

Due to the nature of flooring removal, damage to existing subfloors, adhesives or previous finishes may become apparent once existing materials have been removed.

Additional preparation work may be required.

Subfloor Conditions

Flooring performance depends upon the condition of the subfloor.

Additional preparation may be required where:

  • Floors are uneven

  • Dampness is present

  • Moisture levels are excessive

  • Existing damage is discovered

  • Structural movement is evident

Any additional work required will be discussed before proceeding where possible.

Payment Terms

Payment terms will be stated on quotations and invoices.

Unless otherwise agreed, invoices are payable immediately upon completion.

Late payments may result in:

  • Suspension of further work

  • Recovery costs

  • Statutory interest where applicable

Guarantees

Workmanship is covered by our installation guarantee.

Manufacturer warranties remain subject to the individual manufacturer's terms and conditions.

Guarantees do not cover:

  • Misuse

  • Neglect

  • Accidental damage

  • Water damage

  • Structural movement

  • Improper maintenance

Liability

Our liability shall be limited to the value of the products and services supplied.

A.G. Carpet & Flooring Ltd shall not be liable for:

  • Indirect losses

  • Consequential losses

  • Loss of earnings

  • Business interruption

  • Delays outside our reasonable control

Nothing within these terms excludes liability where exclusion is prohibited by law.

Cancellation

Cancellation of orders may be subject to charges where:

  • Materials have been ordered

  • Products have been manufactured

  • Labour has been scheduled

  • Costs have already been incurred

Any cancellation costs will be advised where applicable.

Force Majeure

We shall not be held responsible for delays or failure to perform obligations resulting from circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including:

  • Severe weather

  • Supply chain disruption

  • Industrial action

  • Government restrictions

  • Acts of God

Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.
